I have alway's loved EVERY vocalist Heep have ever had, and John was no exception, in fact it is listening to him sing the songs both old (Byron era) and new (Shaw era) that highlights just what a good vocalist he was for Heep
This is a pretty good audience recording and a special mention has to go to 'Rover the dog' for his backing vocals

I have one question for you, Colin. Do you know if does exist some other demo song of Sloman's Badlands that is not included in the compilation tha i've posted 2 days ago?
Thank you for all and to the next post.

Thanks for this, in itself it's nice, but is it just me or are tracks 6 & 7 not right? I've downloaded it twice, but still those tracks keeping jumping all the time, which spoils it a bit.
ReplyDeleteYes unfortunatly my copy does that as well. It does, as you point out, spoil it a bit but to be honest I had forgoten it did that or I would have mentioned it in the post
ReplyDeleteHere's 'Anonymous' again. Never mind, it's great to hear John Lawton with Heep again.
ReplyDeleteTurns out this is the soundtrack of a privately released DVD. It was recorded at the Prater Festival, Vienna on May 1, 1995. There are two songs missing; The Wizard and Easy Living.
Best & keep up the good work!
Thanks for this, John Lawton is awesome! This was recorded at Werra Rhon Halle, Merkers-Vacha, Germany on May the 6th, 1995, NOT Vienna.
