Blogger Rant

.

OK I'ts not really a rant this time, for a start i'm sober, but three weeks on from my last
"Rant" ( I might make this a regular feature!!) and I find myself  having to say thank you  for the response. The comments have been both encouraging and constructive. So Thank You to everyone who has responded you know who you are
.
I remember writing back in august that I was running out of material to post (uriah heep related ) and with every post, that is obviously true, but having gone through my collection there is still a reasonable amount to go. I may have to slow the posts down a bit or at least put a few more non heep stuff in there (it will still be bloody good stuff) and it will all be from the vinyl era. For example I have virtually the whole of the Bronze record back catalouge. I might start posting some of that. I also said in a past post that i wouldn't post bootlegs but what the heck they are available elsewhere so i may as well make this a one stop Heep blog and make them available here too
PS, on that note, does anyone have a  copy of Uriah Heep live on the
The Isle of Man 1982
I know it exists as  it was broadcast on the radio, and at the time it supposedly had the biggest live audience for any concert in the world at that time. I have geniune reasons for getting hold of this and it would certainly make this blogger a very very happy person

  1. Yes, your rant had some consequences !
Very good idea to put here some Heep bootlegs, they are too rare ! I don't know a lot of Bronze artists, but surely there is interesting stuff to discover.
And thanks for Byron's Last EP and these nice covers.

Yes, the author's rant, two weeks ago, was for me too a reason to go in contact with you.
For me, one of the reason for many downloads and a little number of comments is the "peer to peer attitude. With softwares like emule and similars, if you want, you download without enter in touch with other people.
I have a little request for next post: i'm searching the byron band's albums one minute more and lost and found. If you have, want and can post...
    Thank you and goodbye.

  4. Ray to get in idea of the artist's that appeared on the Bronze label just look at my post on the 4th jan, that pretty much sums it up. there are a few more that are not represented on that compilation (Manfred Mann's Earth Band being the notable absentees). They really were not a big label I believe their only no 1 was Motorheads " no sleep till Hamersmith", and it is certainly true that they grew as a label at the same rate that heep grew as a band, and it's probably no coincidence that the label folded round about the time Heep jumped ship. They still managed to release some excellent albums in their time though, especially in the seventies. Some have even found there way onto this blog
